My PsycNet is your personalized account for managing your APA PsycNet references. Login with your existing APA account to get started, or register your email address, username (user ID), and password to create an account (you will be prompted to create a user profile).
Linked at the top of every page, My PsycNet allows you to save searches, set up email alerts, and edit your user profile. It also provides an access link to each of your APA PsycNet Direct purchases (APA PsycNet Direct is the pay-per-use platform that provides single-item access and day-pass access to the databases).
Use the Saved Searches tab to view, edit, or re-run your saved searches. Your account can save all the details of your search strategy so you can reuse it or modify it in the future. Click on a saved search to run it. You can also use the action icons in this view to manage your searches, including editing the search; generating a Permalink; creating an email alert; setting up an RSS Feed; and deleting the search.
Use the APA PsycAlerts tab to manage all of your email alerts: alerts to new content that matches your search topic (Topic Alerts); alerts when articles of your choice are cited, corrected, or receive a comment or reply (Citation Alerts); alerts for releases of individual APA journal issues (New Journal Issues); alerts for updates to the APA PsycTests database (Database Releases); and alerts for releases of new APA Books (New APA Books).
Use the APA PsycNet Purchases tab to review and access all of your APA PsycNet Direct® purchases. You will see content in this view only if you subscribe to an APA Journal or have used APA PsycNet Direct to purchase an article, book chapter, review, or a database day-pass. You do not need to use APA PsycNet Direct if you’ve purchased an individual subscription to APA PsycNet or you access the databases through your institution’s site license.
Use the My Profile tab to verify or update your MyPsycNet login credentials.
